For Stoneleigh Companies, who operates over 40,000 multifamily
units in 35 cities, it's important to connect their residents with local environments. The Waterford Residential brand requires a unique touch for every location.

For Waterford Bay, ArtLifting connected residents to architecture and environment of St. Paul through a mixture of original artwork, prints, and largescale wallcoverings.

To create a sense of place, Stoneleigh Companies commissioned ArtLifting artists to create original works celebrating the Twin Cities, which is installed in public spaces throughout the property.

Allen Chamberland's 2-D papercut silhouettes of the Cathedral of St. Paul and High Street Bridge were expanded up into wallcoverings to immerse residents in the architecture of their neighborhood. The final design also incorporates Waterford Bay branding and architectural renderings.

A commissioned artwork by Michaels Lyric, who creates art using adaptive digital technologies, depicts the skyline of St. Paul and the site of the property. About the commission, Michaels shares, “The technical challenge was to capture the historic and the modern architecture, together, in one shot. One of the features of St. Paul is an abundance of forested parks, and so I thought that one of the best times to capture the city would be during the autumn colors.”

An untitled commissioned painting by Jacob Brown celebrates the property’s proximity to water. The work nods to topographical maps of the region and Mississippi River waterways while adding rich textures and natural colors.
