Jupiter's Metallic Hydrogen

"I actually had a different painting that I didn't care for under this one. I had been experimenting with browns for a client and I needed a break from brown. So, I took some of the chemicals around me to see how they would interact with the pigments and paint. I used some mold-able plastic on it and also, loose pigments of pearl and gold flakes mixed with some pouring medium to get them to stick. The rest of the painting just kind of appeared in front of me!"
