In the Garden
"This piece is about Eve with Adam in Paradise. You see two faces, an apple, and a pair of red eyes watching and waiting in the background. The face of Adam is sleepy. He’s still waking up and is delirious having had a part of his rib removed. You see the cut in his side from his ‘surgery.’ Eve’s face is curious; she has her fingers outstretched, ready to take the apple. The serpent waits for the moment to confront the two. This piece, with a focus on Eve’s perspective, is painted in oil, with a knife, is from a series of paintings about Adam and Eve."
