A Brief Moment in the Forgotten Life of Evinn Jackson

"This work was entirely drawn by hand using graphite and colored pencil. Irescued the original black and white reference photo from a pile of discardedsnapshots at a flea market in the quaint little village of Leiper's Fork, TN.Only the name, Evinn Jackson, was written on the back. Under magnification, Icould make out the license plate: "Norfolk VA 1941." Further investigationshowed that the car was a 1940 Buick Eight. With this information, I was able tofind out what the dashboard of Mr. Jackson's car would have looked like. I usedthis for the background and added color to the "snapshot" in order to bring it to life. I'm sure that this image portrays some momentous occasion for young Mr.Evinn Jackson. Sadly, the true story behind this brief moment in time isforever lost."
