Look Beyond

"This painting is inspired by a quote from Henry David Thoreau. We need to not just look at things but also see what's really there. To stop and contemplate what we see around us and see the connectedness of the world. To look beyond what we can see and see what is hidden that is right in front of us. I first painted the red background applying thick layers of acrylic paint to give it a wet dry look. I then used a gold paint marker and carefully made the letter strokes."
