David Foye is an incredibly talented local artist whose art reveals both an adventurous spirit and a positive outlook on life. David is a South Boston native and makes art to convey his visions of how life should be in the future. Although David struggles with mental illness and homelessness, he works tirelessly on his art, and hopes to be a successful artist and inventor. His current goal is to have a place of his own to call home.
Mental illness and lack of proper care can often result in chronic homelessness creating an intensely vulnerable community easily susceptible to substance abuse, exploitation and violence. David's art reveals a personal strength in the face of adversity and a unique imagination for the world of possibilities open to human kind. David has a talent for turning the normal abnormal and the mundane beautiful. His work entices viewers to hope for a better tomorrow and momentarily suspends reality. David's use of color as well as a multitude of lines and dots create beautiful works of art perfect for all audiences.
