"I was going for a zen look. I used to have a portrait studio so was able to use high-speed studio lighting and a fast shutter speed on a Nikon D7000. For the blue color, I used my own art to create the shade reflected in the water. It took hundreds of takes to get an image that showed the reflection in the water droplets and also depicted the shade of blue I wanted. I only experimented with this type of photography on one full day."
