World of Tomorrow

"A personal favorite. A very simple shot, taken late at night with water, a little mirror and a flashlight. I often mention that I like to use flowers-as-material, not always to get floral shots but to try to tease or capture something completely different from them. This one, the arc, the reflections in the water drop, the feeling of scale -- I just really liked what came through. Years ago, I did some concept art for a movie called 'Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow,' and I really liked the production design for that movie, so I borrowed the title for this."
- Michael Van Huffel
