Winterwunderland
"The element, Water, of all forms (ice, snow or fluid) emerges as a prominent motif, embodying fluidity, liberation, and the art of release. The different states of water suggest flexibility, adaptibility and evolution. Underlying theme that connects all pieces of work: 'Wheelchair track marks and swirls serve as powerful symbols reflecting the individual paths we each navigate in the world. Just as the layers of our life experiences shape our identity, multiple coats of paint unveil the depth and history within each piece. The varied consistencies of poured paint and wild gestural brushstrokes foster organic interactions and reveal captivating imperfections. The swirls guide the viewer on a journey, replicating the cyclical nature of life and existence. These cyclical patterns reflect the idea that 'everything comes full circle,' reinforcing the idea that after a healing/repair process, one's journey may return to its aspired state or born anew.'"
