Vasta

"This piece is part of my summer 2019 collection, Sommesso. Sommesso was conceived as a celebration of quiet moments, and the imagery was primarily inspired by the marshlands approaching the North Carolina Outer Banks. Vasta translates to vast and depicts marsh waters and sky, using wide sweeping motions to create a feeling of expansion. Growing up in the foothills, the flat marshlands in the outer banks are a bit of a foreign landscape to me, and I was inspired to create this piece as an attempt to induce that same feeling of expansiveness."
