"This hard-edge piece is included in my 'White Line' series of artworks. The white lines are inspired by the works of Frank Stella, particularly his 1980s pieces. The colors are developed on a piece-by-piece basis, from individual color palettes that are dependent on how I envision the outcome.

As a natural beginning to my series of triangle paintings, 'Triangle' uses a 7-color palette, but the color distribution is such that the painting suggests it uses fewer than seven."
