"This piece shares a similar source of inspiration as Shabbat candles. I was trying to make clear, defined borders in order to create the feel of stained glass. When I looked at this piece I felt as though I was looking at a stained glass window but could not read the words etched in the pillar. I thought that this was fitting as often the most heartfelt prayer is wordless."
