The Woman of the Earth

"The Woman of the Earth was another image that relates to global warming. I started out with the strands of leaves which were reaching for the sky. I decided that there needed to be color and was following the shapes which started to look like a shawl around a woman. I decided to call her Woman of the Earth because of the colors of water (blue) and green for trees and grass and finally red for flowers that surround her. The leaves above her became her crown. Nature has so many colors. I want to bring awareness to our planet. I am finding that working in multimedia has been inspiring me to show the many ways to reuse/recycle in an artistic way."
