The One

"I can't give a good explanation of the relationship of the title and the painting, but it was the first thing that came to my mind. It could be the painting, The One, that someone chooses to hang over their couch. The orientation usually comes once the painting is finished as you can see the horizontal orientation is fitting for this piece. The One gives me a sense of movement between the greens and blues accented by metallic gold. I painted this in sections and added the repetitive lines of cobalt blue and gold later until I was satisfied. I hope that you will feel satisfaction when looking at The One."
