The Bursting of Spring

"I originally started this piece in the opposite direction. After the progress was creating these bulbous shapes, the stems seemed to feel like they needed to be hanging from perhaps tree branches. It was then that I could see these shapes being the seed pods and were beginning to open (bursting) for springtime flowers perhaps. I liked that they were upside down so they could float away."
