The Berry Field
"The Berry field is a scenery of flowers which look like big raspberries or pom pom flowers. The round shapes draw you from the top to the foreground. This was created by adding cut painted papers on a heavy watercolor paper with a watercolor painting as a base. The many color pieces applied to the surface create an impressionistic style. I loved how the artists of the impressionistic period used many layers of colors placed next to each other to create light and shapes. I love studying how the cut pieces of painted paper can be placed and moved around until the right vision is created. It reminds me of putting puzzles together but in essence you are the one creating the puzzle."
