Surfaced Sun

"'Surfaced Sun' is a mixed medium piece using acrylic on wood and photography. It is my representation of the surface of our sun. Boiling, overflowing, oozing with no life yet so alive, the sun is uninhabitable yet sustains life as we know it. By highlighting the golden red, yellow, orange and white hues of the spectrum I aimed to create a textured and seemingly lava-like experience. 'Surfaced Sun' symbolizes life and creation without limits, as above so below."
