Sunny Day

"This artwork, Sunny Day, is part of a collection connected to the theme of sustainability. I incorporated textile waste from New York City into this specific work. As I started my meditative painting process, I began thinking about the warm rays of sunlight that I feel on my skin in the morning at my home in Denver. Denver, Colorado is a bright light in my world for many reasons. It’s my healing home. The 300 days of sunshine here boosts my mood. The mile high city has expansive blue skies that remind me to imagine possibilities and dream big. The sunshine here in Denver has a quality that I associate with vitality, renewal and blessings. When I look deeply at Sunny Day, I think about all these things."
