"Static is a continuation of my recent series where I have been blending texture with watered down acrylic paints. The canvas has rigid texture all throughout in a chaotic yet meticulous way mimicking the process of the paint application. The paint was applied in several layers of spills, splatters and brush strokes. This painting was inspired by the stalagmites at Linville Caverns in the mountain of North Carolina, I wanted to capture the drippy yet structured composition."
