"I love squares. They make me happy. These paintings are my spring squares paintings. It was cold and rainy this spring. So I found a happy, spring color palette. Then I made my process: green squares, yellow squares, blue squares and drips. I put both canvases together. It was spring squares in the studio. It made me so happy. And now it is hot in Texas."
