Vito Bonanno's art is a mirrorintohis inner being. His art resembles the multi-layered, chaotic thought process of his mind where images, thoughts, and words float around in a bumper-car like world, crashing and speeding in all directions. They rarely parkintoa memory garage to be taken out only when wanted, but instead barge their way around the crowded streets of his mind, all fighting to be in front of the line. Bonanno finds relief from these visual intrusions by putting them down onto canvas until layers are added over layers, sometimes obliterating the entire drawing underneath, other times allowing some of the underdrawings and the emotions they evoke topeek through.
