Seeds of Hope

"Seeds of Hope is my painting that represents global warming. I love gardening and being outside. When I started this pieces, there were 2 circular shapes that I started using colors (blue and yellow) which of course I decided would be water and sun. Global warming is changing the planet but I am in hopes that we can continue to grow beautiful things in nature. My main goal in this style of multimedia is to use the underpainting on the watercolor paper to create a path or journey. I enjoy using the painted pieces of paper from old paintings because I wanted to find a way to reuse/recycle and not keep putting them in drawers or throwing them away. I cut the pieces of paper as I am creating the image. It helps to look at the pieces on the paper before making them permanent. It always needs to work before it can be glued in place. This painting went through many changes and directions before I could see the path I wanted it to be. Nature is vital to the world. It is made up of so many colors."
