Sapphire Sea

"Sapphire Series: Derived from the Latin word ““saphirus” and the Greek word “sapheiros,” both meaning blue, sapphire is also believed to be associated with the planet Saturn, and can be roughly be translated to mean “dear to the planet Saturn” in many different languages.

Worn by Kings as a powerful defense from harm, as well as an amulet to protect its owner from envy and attract divine favor, Sapphires have been prized as great gemstones since 800BC.

Fluid enough to represent both the sky and the sea, the color blue is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, and inspiration.

The Sapphire Series is a direct exploration into the opening blue, as well as my artistic interpretation of Blue Energy and Kinetic Energy.

Embodying the overall energy of The Sapphire Series, Sapphire Sea is an artistic interpretation of organic Blue Energy viewed from an aerial perspective."
