Sailing on a Landscape
"Sailing was one of my earlier attempts using the ink process on watercolor paper. Continuing the linear process of the ink drips on paper was a different challenge. I love landscapes but wanted to be able to create this one w/blocks of colors. The original started as a vertical painting but because of the colors I felt the vertical wasn't working. Sometimes I forget the painting doesn't always have to stay the same direction. I have done several paintings that when turned had created a whole different scenery that I had not seen. It is always important to look at the work from all directions especially when you have limited vision."
