""Rosy Outlook" was one of the first pieces I worked on with a lighter color palette, and notably pink! It began with no plan (as the majority of my art does), but I began to see a rose taking shape. I played with this loosely as I continued onward and can see at least two roses in the final piece. Playing around with layering and shading in my intuitive style was incredibly immersive and satisfying. Once it dried, I spent hours focusing on the "landscape" created within the ink and mapped out lines of dots. This is a very meditative practice for me and also helps me to appreciate the smallest details in my work. I hope this piece is able to bring some peace, serenity, and love to the viewer."
