Reinvention

"Canvas roll on a wall using a paintbrush and broken spatula from an AirBnB kitchen I stayed in while in COVID quarantine in Portland Oregon I couldn't stop using the cooking utensil to make several paintings while on a lonely quest away from home and missing my children.

My son picked the colors for me while visiting from Austin, TX which shows his ambition and innocence but becoming a man he helped shape this painting in my mind and heart making it the calming creation a reinvention of our relationship symbolizing a boy becoming a man...and then he helped me move several pieces on an amazing road trip back to Texas where we found ourselves again together."
