Ready and Waiting
"Ready and Waiting is my largest painting yet and has also taken me the largest amount of time to complete. Many unforeseen circumstances forced extra long pauses. Not knowing when I'd be able to get back to the canvas, or for how long. While immensely challenging, restrictions often force creativity into new directions. Layer upon layer investigating texture, rediscovering shape, and hunting composition. Roughly six months from start to finish, and I'm provided with valuable lessons, new techniques and a satisfying reminder to be Ready and Waiting."
