"In this painting, I wanted to create an immersive and fragmented landscape inspired by the forests of Southern Indiana. I began by outlining my composition in an acrylic underpainting. To achieve the sense of a dense forest, branches can be seen stopping, then starting again, and green tree boughs overlap, moving in every direction."
