Radiant Echoes (Midnight Blue)

"Bird songs have always been important in my life, but furthermore through my recovery. I seem to hear them with my whole body and their song fills me with life and joy words can’t seem to explain fully. To create "Radiant Echoes", I recorded bird sounds during my daily walks, then opened the sound files to study the sound waves and their beautiful visual patterns. After digitizing them I created different brushes and started weaving them around feathery shapes originally painted with watercolors to create an infinite wave of echoing patterns. I am so excited because there are endless possibilities to make the process of creating patterns, a rich, sensible process that connects deeply with a treasured moment in my life. Midnight Blue is the color for fluttering through the night."
