Radian Surface Detail

"This work explores my identity as a strong woman while grappling with themes of women's historical bondage, I interweave bits of found materials like rope and scraps of paper along with paint. They are meant to be reminiscent of traditional women's art like quilting and weaving. I find rope to be a powerful and evocative material. Its inherent duality – both a tool of resilience and a symbol of constraint – mirrors the complex experiences of women throughout history."
