Primal Forgiveness
"Abstract painting on stretched canvas. This piece reflects a period of personal growth and transformation that eventually led me to realize that I needed to and to be able to forgive myself deeply and completely on a primal level. It's about forgiveness as a whole for others as well. Forgiving deep hurts. Forgiving God. Learning for myself what forgiveness is really about for me. It's not about excusing but finding that place of innocence that lays deep within us all and learning to be gentle and kind with ourselves and each other. Holding on to hurt that has been inflicted on us and inevitably hurt that we intentionally or unintentionally inflect on others is a burden that no one should carry. Forgiveness frees us from that burden and allow us to continue to grow and learn."
