On the Way to Roussillon
"This painting began with memories of fields in the South of France. My godparents took me to Roussillon and described to me how children used to slide down the hills of red, orange, and yellow, staining their clothes with pigment. I purchased a little 6 jar set of pigments to take home with me, hoping to experiment with mixing my own paints. The set has become a sort of relic of the trip, untouched and inspiring me with sweet memory."
