Morning in Paris
"During Covid my little brother lived with us, and we rewatched our favorite Disney movies from when we were little kids, and especially The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Having lived in Europe several times, I have also traveled to Paris a lot and love seeing Notre Dame. So after watching the movie, I would go out to my ART studio in Dallas, turn on the movie soundtrack and paint. Eventually this series was created. I Love painting the background in all different happy colors, using Big scrapers of gold paint to show the towers of Notre Dame and then carefully making the geometric black lines for contrast. When I see a finished painting, I sometimes sing the first song from the movie: Morning in Paris, the city awakes to the bells of Notre Dame!"
