"No matter where you find yourself in Ireland, it's often said that you're never more than 50 miles away from the ocean. During my childhood there, I spent countless hours by the sea while vacationing with my family. When we visited the coastline of West Cork, located in the southwest of Ireland, the ocean was omnipresent, from serene coves to the untamed Atlantic. I've always felt drawn to the sea (perhaps because I’m a water sign) and could easily spend hours observing the waves crashing to the shore and noticing how the sea's colour shifts in various lighting conditions. This Memories of West Cork series was created using acrylics, brushes, a palette knife and mark making tools."
