Magenta Riddim

"Each painting I create is inspired by a song. When I first heard this song -the fungi - the flute used by snake charmers - coupled with the hypnotic beat - it made me see thick, pulpy tendrils of paint, slithering & dancing across the canvas as if the paint was literally being controlled by the song. 'Magenta Riddim' is a mix of Jamaican & Indian music - so I wanted to use the bright, bold colors inspired by these cultures to create a piece that radiates joy & fun.

'Magenta Riddim' was painted using only my fingers & knuckles. No brushes or other instruments were used. Since my health prevents me from dancing anymore, it's incredibly gratifying to still be able to use my fingers to dance through paint!"
