"I wanted to create a series that was deeply meaningful—a direct reflection of my own life’s journey. My sculpture series is composed of broken/torn pieces reconstructed together, similar to how I had to piece my own life back together after acquiring a disability. Through this process, each sculpture has undergone a metamorphosis, symbolizing renewal and transformation mirroring my own healing process. With every piece, I let the canvas take the lead in taking its own shape, giving its own distinct characteristics and then harmonizing with existing color palettes from its previous life. Each sculpture invites the viewer to find beauty in its rebirth and new form—now carrying more complexity, more depth, more layers of history, and greater substance. The broken pieces are celebrated, embracing imperfections and symbolizing a newfound strength."
