Journey 1
"Having a keen interest in working with the challenges of a muted palette led me to a wonderful discovery. The results of this artistic exploration are represented in this series of three pieces, painted in acrylic on canvas. The palette was metallic silver, black, white and gray.
The Journey Series explores an architectural and iconic view of our Roads. Simple metaphors abound in our art and literature, attempting to draw the shadows of our life Journey with the Highways of the Soul. Straight lines, curves, intersections, left turns and right; we struggle to find our light, our path, our road.
Process required techniques and medium additives which were new for me as an artist. The challenges were exciting, creating emotion, movement and silver palette. The flowing paints require vision, medium constraint, and dedicated detail."
