"I wanted to make a piece that would show that a bland color could make an interesting piece. I used multiple types of paper in different shades of the same color. The thin gold wiring added another level of texture in the resin. I was inspired to make this piece when I came across paper with different textures. I adhered various pieces of paper in multiple layers with gel medium along with acrylic paint and crackle paste. I then applied the resin and when it became tacky added the gold wiring for added texture."
