"One of my favorite ways to paint is to focus on color values: light, medium and dark. For this painting I also wanted to limit my color palette and explore mark-making with different tools. I did not have a plan in mind, I just let Go and created. Using rollers, wide foam brushes and blue shop towels I mixed the different color values from the grey-blue. I filled the whole canvas! Then I chose smaller brushes in different sizes and decided to layer the second color. I also added my favorite drips. When I put the painting up against the wall, it looked like sunshine to me. It is a Happy painting, and I hope you feel it too!!!"
