"I was inspired to photograph a garden filled with the flower Phlox. Its brilliant flowers against the green leaves were vivid. Later as I researched the flower, I found its meaning was beautiful. According to folklore, planting it in the garden encourages unity, harmony, and friendship. In my painting 'Harmony's Soulmates', I used colors with depict friendship and harmony. It is my hope viewers will feel a sense of tranquility with viewing."
