"“Glitchin’ Thru It” came out of a period where things felt difficult, chaotic, and emotionally overloaded, but I was still trying to move through it all without losing my sense of humour or play. The figure loosely reminds people of Crash Bandicoot, which honestly makes sense because those games were a huge part of my childhood. There’s something about that character constantly spinning, crashing into things, getting knocked around, and still continuing forward that felt weirdly relatable to me while making this piece. The title is intentionally playful. “Glitchin’” references moments where things don’t move smoothly — mentally, emotionally, socially, or otherwise. But instead of treating the glitch as failure, I was interested in the idea of adapting inside the chaos and finding ways to still laugh, create, and keep going. The work sits somewhere between collapse and momentum. A lot of my practice is about translating internal states into something visual, energetic, and alive. Rather than hiding fragmentation or overstimulation, I tend to amplify it. In this piece, distortion, movement, humour, and visual noise all become part of the language of survival."
