"This piece is in some ways representative of my deep religious beliefs, the candle in the dark that mirrors each person's humanity/soul. In this picture, the flame seems to move through a prism and then it's light is mirrored manifold on the structure to the right. I was trying to experiment with high contrasting colors when making this piece. I wanted it to contain both pleasing colors as well as a darker, more overwhelming backdrop. I see the world in a different color spectrum, so I'm not exactly sure which colors I used, but they were pleasing to me."
