Etched in Water and Stormy Light

"My old apartment building had a pool, it wasn't kept up that well. One day, I went down to get the mail, the sky was stormy. I was waiting for the elevator and then the light changed, the surreal way it can before a storm. I could see the debris in the pool, it changed completely in that light. It did look etched, very vivid even from a distance. I put my mail down and laid by the side of the pool. The exposure was harsh, but the look of this is due to that fleeting light."
- Michael Van Huffel
