"This piece was a rescue of an unsuccessful piece made with oil stick and acrylic on canvas. I applied a coat of gloss medium as an adhesive, then stuck lines of string to it in a grid pattern. I then painted over the string and removed them when the paint was dry. The removed strings revealed unexpected patterns of color and shape, and in some places even revealed the canvas base below all the media. Fun to make!"
