"I began this painting by making intuitive marks with goldenrod and black walnut dye. From these marks, I found a horizon line and then built the rest of my painting around it. For this piece, I used swooping organic shapes throughout the work to create movement. My goal was to make the land and sky feel alive and connected to one another."
