Cairn 2 Blue

"Cairns have historically been used as markers - often for burial sites but also as directional indicators. When the trail seems unclear, a cairn can show you the way. The delicate process of finding and balancing stones to create the marker takes time and care. When painting, I am always looking for a sense of equilibrium and solidity. Even when the parts aren't seamless, there is a wholeness in its construction. I find that powerful and comforting."
