By Wham-O

"Often, I collect things to try to take photos of, but don’t end up having the functionality to use before they go bad. I’d picked some very alien looking little plants and had been trying to keep thing fresh in water for a few days. I knew I only really had one or two nights left to try to get some shots. I’d started taking photos of things immersed in water, air bubbles still clinging to corners of things. A bright little IKEA spotlight and an emergency flashlight lit it up in bold, saturated color. I searched around for interesting angles, and found this image in there. When I was a kid, there were always commercials for bubble makers, water slides and other outdoor toys, by Wham-O. It was all bright colors, giant soap bubbles and things in motion. I kept thinking of those toys."
