Blue Robe

"This is unlike me, but I began this abstract by first making a charcoal sketch on the canvas. Then I chose a 4-color palette to work with. Using red as my background, I began placing the other colors within the spaces of the charcoal sketch. once the painting had dried, I used the charcoal to roughly outline the placed colors. With the combination of acrylic and charcoal, I was able to produce a piece with brilliant colors that worked well together and was visually pleasing. The final painting has become a favorite among my friends as well as my peers. 'Blue Robe' was recently featured in Circle Arts Foundation's 'Spotlight' Magazine, issue 24."
