"Blue Crush Sunrise features an array of dark, deep sea blues/greens to light sky blues and mints. Bright rays of orange and yellow shine through the clouds. This piece was inspired by a boat cruise I took out into the deep waters to see the whales. You can imagine the energy/movement in the middle of the deep ocean where the waves are crashing, winds are blowing and the hot sun is beating down. This piece is painted with heavy bodied acrylics and embellished with gold foil to give a rich texture. Long-handed brushes were used to create free, loose brushstrokes and gestural marks."
