Blue, 2 AM

"This one, and a few others take the same night, were important to me in trying to find my way, to be open to trying lots of things. It was 2 AM and I went out on the porch and very, very quietly took photos. I had been growing some flowers that evolved from one really gorgeous shape to another. Great.

I felt pretty bad, honestly. I was struggling to get a good shot, though I could see what was there to see if I could do it. It was kind of important that night. I was on the ground, using both hands and one of my feet to hold the light (*very unconventional lighting). The thing is, I got this shot and a few others, and it showed me to try... anything. It was late, I felt wrecked, but I was happy. The camera shot an accidental selfie that night, which I went to immediately delete. It isn't a great shot but that selfie ended up feeling real and personal for me."
